LUMINA TOWN - PRESENTATION

 

Located 17 km north of Constanţa municipality, the town Lumina has a population of 7389 inhabitants and is composed of villages Sibi and Oituz.
The administrative area of the town is 4875 ha.
Trade takes first place in the structure of the local economy seen by fields of activity, being followed by agriculture, livestock, and extractive industry of quarry products.
Although it has great potential for development, Lumina town is still in the context of economic transition. Under these conditions, it shall be followed the development and modernization of agriculture, infrastructure expansion and increasing supply of services.
Currently, in the town are in activity four individual medical cabinets for family medicine, a stomatological cabinet, three pharmacies, two cultural homes, four primary schools and three kindergartens.
