Project “Vision 2020 - an integrated strategy of the Metropolitan Area Constanţa, SMIS code 12702“

 

       The project "Vision 2020 - an integrated strategy for the Metropolitan Area Constanţa, SMIS code 12702" is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Operational Programme of Administrative Capacity Development 2007-2013, Priority  axis 1 - Structural and process improvements of the public policy cycle, the major area of intervention. 1.1 Improved decision-making process at political and administrative level, operation "Local Development Strategies".
The beneficiary of this project is the Association for Intercommunity Development - "METROPOLITAN AREA CONSTANŢA".
The duration of the project implementation is 12 months.
The project has a total eligible  value of 789,323.00 lei from which 670,924.55 lei  represent the eligible non-reimbursable value from European Social Fund and 102,611.99 lei the eligible non-reimbursable value from the national budget. The eligible co-financing of Association for Intercommunity Development "Metropolitan Area Constanţa" on this project is 15,786.46 lei, representing 2% of the value of the project.

 

         Improvement of the ability to plan and implement development projects in the metropolitan area Constanţa through training / support for officials in the 14 municipalities involved in the strategic planning process, able to play an active role in the development, the promotion and implementation of policies and local strategies for economic and social development at the territorial level.

 

         The development of institutional capacity of the Association for Intercommunity Development "Metropolitan Area Constanţa" to plan, coordinate and implement policies, strategies, programs and projects of local development, strengthening the capacity to absorb European funds at the level of Metropolitan Area Constanţa.

 

         Public officials operating in 15 administrative-territorial units components of Metropolitan Area Constanţa: City Hall of Constanţa Municipality, the City Council of the Eforie City, the City Council of the Murfatlar City, the City Council of the Năvodari City, the City Council of the Ovidiu City, the City Council of the Techirghiol City, the Town Council of the Agigea Town, the Town Council of the Corbu Town, the Town Council of the Cumpăna Town, the Town Council of the Lumina Town, the Town Council of the Mihail Kogălniceanu Town, the Town Council of the Poarta Albă Town, the Town Council of Tuzla Town, the Town Council of the Valu lui Traian Town.

       The 17 public officials of territorial administrative units components of Metropolitan Area Constanţa will have to participate in training course with three course modules: sustainable development, equal opportunities, formulation of public policies.

 

 

 

      The main result of this project is the Strategy for Local Development elaborated at the level of Metropolitan Area Constanţa.
In the category of secondary results can be mentioned as direct results  the increased level of training of personnel within of the Association for Intercommunity Development "Metropolitan Area Constanţa" in the following areas: sustainable development, equal opportunities and formulation of public policies; visible results as training of 17 officials in the field of community development, strenght strengthening the capacity of collaboration between local public authorities, economic agents and the local population of the Metropolitan Area Constanţa.
